provides at-risk students at Howard Middle School direct intervention services to reduce discipline referrals and truancy and improve attendance and grades. Targeted students are offered counseling and mentoring opportunities, remediation of academic skills, community service activities and prevention education, to reduce drug use, juvenile crime and teen pregnancy. Programs are also offered to teachers and parents.
