Young Offender Grant
CCASA serves as the substance abuse advisory board for the Young Offender Grant administered by CLM Workforce Development Board. The $600,000 grant goals are:
- To serve youths between the ages of 14-24
- Work with at risk youth as part of a prevention strategy as well as youth involved in the juvenile justice system.
- Work with youth to help them complete their GED or if they are in school keep them focused on staying in school and get their high school diploma.
- Provide employability skills and training
- Reach out to employers in the community to lend their support
- Provide a two-year follow-up services and connect the youth with support services that available in the community.
