The Marion County Juvenile Justice Council

provides a forum for the development of community-based interagency assessments of the local juvenile justice system and to implement countywide plans for more effectively preventing juvenile delinquency.  This enables the council to make recommendations for more effectively utilizing existing community resources in dealing with juveniles who are truant, have been suspended or expelled from school, and who are found to be involved in crime.
